When I Was Your Age…

Warren and I were reading through The Friend and came across an article suggesting questions kids could ask to get to know their parents better– as part of strengthening their family.

He keyed in on the 11th question:

What do you have that hadn’t been invented yet when (s)he was your age?”

I told him, back when I was four, we had no cds, no DVDs or machines to play them. We didn’t even have computers.

“How did you do it??” he exclaimed with wide eyes. “I guess you just used paper and a pencil,” he mused, sounding almost perplexed by the thought.
