Renny is a gum chewer. He loves it, and all it’s breath-freshening powers. He’ll ask me– as if he can’t remember– if he’s had any for the day yet, hoping that he’ll score some more on the off chance that I haven’t been keeping track.
Sometimes I can use it to bribe him into completing a task he doesn’t want to do, or is doing slowly. I’m not beyond that. And he always wants a stick to chomp on during church, but we’ve instituted the “not until after the Sacrament is passed and you’ve been reverent” rule. Again, a good form of motivation to ensure a little peace in our section of the chapel.
What external form of bribery motivates your kid to get the job done?
