My retreat with the girls could not have been possible without the support of my wonderful husband. Colin agreed to stay home with Warren and Madeline while I had time to relax and play. Thank you, Love.
The report I received upon returning home was full of mayhem and laughter. Maddie was in top form with her food throwing:
Those are beans from a fabulous chili our family loves. The picture does not do her distance justice. He was both livid and amused cleaning that mess up. At least when he made spaghetti, more of it stayed on her tray and some even got in her mouth:
Colin spent most of the 3.5 days playing with the kids. They loved time with Dad. He even took them to the zoo–something he rarely gets to do with them.
Warren loves to see the animals but mostly wants to spend time at the “ant hill” sledding down the artificial turf.
Now that Maddie is fully mobile, you can’t really keep her out of anything. She climbs into everything, no fear.
Best of all, Colin treated the kids to ice cream which they ate throughout the weekend.
Maybe they didn’t even notice I was gone…
